Day 23: When You Don’t Know What to Do – Decide How You’ll Decide
In certain moments, the smartest move isn’t always choosing what to do – it’s choosing how you’ll make the decision.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
KEY INSIGHT: When facing uncertainty, resist jumping straight to “What should I do?” Instead ask “How should I decide?” Building confidence comes from trusting your process, not having perfect information.
PERSONAL REFLECTION: Think of a recent decision where you felt paralyzed. What would have changed if you’d focused first on designing your decision-making approach rather than trying to find the “right” answer immediately?
TODAY’S EXERCISE:
Pick a current decision where you’re uncertain. First, decide: Does this need the full 7 Steps, or will your personal rules suffice? Then write down:
• What does success look like?
• What info do I still need?
• Who can I talk to?
• When will I decide?
Then, follow through on your decision process – step by step.
